“Dominick Casola Looking For Turn-Around Season In No. 32 Dodge”

KANSAS CITY, KANSAS (April 23, 2008) - - It’s no joke that the first three races of the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series season have been disappointing for Minnesota’s Win-Tron Racing and it’s sophomore driver Dominick Casola. However, as the series charges on and heads to Kansas Speedway this week, the team is looking to hit the lottery in Friday’s Kansas Lottery $150 Grand.

Strong performances at Daytona and Salem yielded sour finishes for Casola and Co. The team had hoped for a serious change at Iowa Speedway last weekend. Mother Nature had other plans tough after washing away most of the weekend’s activities forcing the team to start with limited practice and an ill-handling No. 32 A. Casola Farms Dodge Charger. Casola persevered through the event to settle for a 17th place finish.

“We need to shake the wicked monkey that’s been on our back the last three races,” said Casola, who will make his second career start at Kansas Speedway Friday. “This is a great team. They have excellent equipment and a very dedicated crew, we just need a little help in the luck department.”

A good reason why the Win-Tron Racing team feels their luck will turn around this weekend comes on the heels of a successful open test at Kansas Speedway earlier this month. Casola and the Win-Tron Racing operation joined a number of RE/MAX Series teams in a private test session on April 2 with encouraging results.

The team is banking on those results of the confidential test to deliver their first top-10 finish of the season.

“The test went really well,” added Casola, who holds a career best finish of third in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. “We worked on a number of different setups and procedures. The more I logged laps the more comfortable I became. There is no doubt in my mind that we’ll return to Kansas Speedway this week and pick up right where we left off from the private test.”

Last April, Casola finished 17th after starting 22nd in his Kansas Speedway debut. “I enjoy the bigger tracks and Kansas Speedway definitely fits in that category,” Casola sounded. “Last year’s race provided a great opportunity to log laps and figure out the facility. Usually your second trip to a track can offer a better finish and I’m hoping that is the case for me on Friday.”

Win-Tron Racing’s Nate Thiesse offered, “After the tough couple weeks, I believe that the whole team heads to Kansas looking to leave with a top-10 finish. Dominick has done his job behind the wheel; we’ve just had some early season misfortune which has kept us out of the spotlight. We’ll arrive in Kansas with our head held high and look to return this team to its normal standard Friday.”

Entering Kansas , Casola sits 19th in the ARCA RE/MAX Series championship standings just 150 markers from entering the top-10.

Before his duties at the track on Friday, Casola will spend Thursday evening at Kansas Speedway’s Race Fest at The Legends ( Kansas City , Kansas ) adjacent to the track participating in an autograph session from 5:30pm to 6:30pm local time.

A. Casola Farms, a family-owned business will sponsor Casola’s No. 32 Dodge Charger this weekend at Kansas Speedway. Casola will make his 26th career ARCA start and his second at 1.5-mile speed plant on Friday.

The Kansas Lottery $150 Grand (150 miles/100 laps) is the fourth of 21 events on the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The eighth ARCA race held at Kansas is a one-day show. Practice begins Friday, April 25 with a two hour and twenty minute practice session planned from 8:30-10:50 a.m. ARCA SIM Factory pole qualifying is set slated to begin at 12:40 p.m. with the field taking the green flag shortly after 4:00 p.m. The race will be next day tape-delayed on SPEED (7:30 p.m. local) with additional race coverage online at arcaracing.com. All times are local.
