NOTES:
Sam Schmidt and the SAM car: As part of a collaboration with Arrow Electronics, Sam Schmidt will drive an exhibition lap around the Long Beach circuit in the SAM (semi-autonomous motorcar) car on Sunday, April 19 at 11:20 a.m. PST. The SAM Project is an innovative in which a 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray car has been modified with integrated advanced electronics and a human-to-machine interface so a qualified quadriplegic driver can safely operate it under racetrack conditions.
James Hinchcliffe: Won the inaugural Indy Grand Prix of Lousiana last weekend in New Orleans. He is currently fourth in the championship points and has his sights set on Victory Circle again in Long Beach, an event he looks forward to every year.
James Jakes: Finished third at the inaugural Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana last weekend in New Orleans. He is currently seventh in the points and will look to follow up his podium finish with a solid result in Long Beach, one of his favorite tracks on the Verizon IndyCar Series circuit.

Schmidt Peterson Motorsports (SPM) was established in 2001 and is owned by former IndyCar driver Sam Schmidt and Canadian businessman Ric Peterson. Schmidt was paralyzed (quad) in 2000 after an accident during testing at Walt Disney World Speedway in Orlando, Fla. SPM fields cars in the Verizon IndyCar Series, including the Indianapolis 500, and the Indy Lights Series presented by Cooper Tires. SPM is the most successful team in Indy Lights Series history with sixty-five race wins and seven championships.
