Hollywood Stuntman Barrett Returns To XFINITY Series Promoting First Directorial Piece

DOVER, Del. (October 1, 2015) - - Hollywood stuntman recently turned director Stanton Barrett has been used to filming monsters of his own for his upcoming motion picture Navy Seals vs. Zombies, but on Saturday afternoon, Barrett will face a different kind of monster.

Miles’ Monster, otherwise efficiently known as “Monster Mile” has been a solid track for Barrett who owns 11 NASCAR XFINITY Series Dover starts to his credit, including a track-best 12th earned in 2003.

And even though Barrett hasn’t competed at the 1.0-mile oval since 2008 Sprint Cup Series Race, he is eagerly awaiting for his return to Dover (Del.) International Speedway as another prime opportunity to promote his soon-to-be-released motion picture.

Navy Seals vs Zombies will serve as the primary sponsor along with Anchor Bay and BarCode Entertainment

Rick Fox (Former NBA player, Dope, "One Tree Hill", "Sharknado 3"), Michael Dudikoff ("American Ninja series", Olympus Has Fallen), Molly Hagan ("iZombie", Election, Some Kind of Wonderful, "Instant Mom"), Ed Quinn ("Revenge", "Mistresses", "True Blood"), Olympian LoLo Jones and real Navy SEALs star in the upcoming action horror thriller Navy SEALs vs. Zombies. The film arrived on Digital HD on Friday, September 25th and on Blu-ray(tm), DVD and On Demand on Tuesday, October 6th from Anchor Bay Entertainment and is directed by Stanton Barrett (NASCAR driver and Hollywood stuntman) in his directorial debut.

“I’m looking forward to returning to Dover this weekend,” said Barrett, who last raced at Road America (Wisc.) last month. “It’s been a while since I’ve been to Dover, but it’s a track I really love and have run really well here despite some problems, so I’m looking forward to being back on the NASCAR XFINITY Series tour and seeing what we can do with our No. 15 Navy Seals vs. Zombies Ford Mustang.”

Craving for his passion and love for NASCAR racing, Barrett earlier this year returned from a short sabbatical from the race track for a life on the road embracing the other career he’s very well known for, a star-studded profession in Hollywood.

Barrett will utilize the 28th race of the season to promote the upcoming movie Navy Seals vs. Zombies which embarks his directorial debut. Coming in fall 2015, Navy Seals vs. Zombies released by Anchor Bay Entertainment is an action horror film starring Michael Dudikoff, Rick Fox, Ed Quinn and Lolo Jones. The film also features actual Navy Seals playing leading roles utilizing realistic tactics.

“We’re real proud of the film,” added Barrett who has been actively working on preparing for the release of the film when not racing. “This movie marks my directorial debut and through the hard work and endless efforts of the cast and staff, this fall we’ll have a film that we hope we’ll leave a lot of people satisfied.”

Of course, while fixating on doing well in Saturday’s Hisense 200 is of the utmost importance for Barrett, he’s hoping a smart race strategy and typical short track luck will play into his hands for his fifth XFINITY start of the season.

“Dover is a fast short track, where handling is just as important as horsepower,” added Barrett. “A lap goes in a hurry there. It’s a fun aggressive track you have to really drive hard. We’ve been working on this car over the last weeks and I’m hoping for our best run of the year on Saturday, which won’t be hard considering the bad luck this year.”

To help give Navy Seals vs. Zombies a better appeal, Barrett will run a special paint scheme symbolizing the overall appearance and appeal of the film.

“The wrap looks great and I think it has done exactly what we’ve wanted it too and that’s give a vibe to those who see the car on exactly what the movie portrays it to be. The car should be easy to spot this weekend at Dover. Who knows it might even spook the competition a little,” he joked.”

While promoting Navy Seals vs. Zombies is important, Barrett isn’t losing focus on another project, 4Caring.org.

Founded by Barrett, 4Caring.org is an organization to reach out and comfort those with personal crisis. The organization’s primary desire is to reach out those in hospital waiting rooms like children’s cancer centers, intensive care units and other related children’s area. However, the organization is not restricted to just children, but people in need for care.

“4Caring.org is very important to me,” added Barrett, driver of the No. 15 Navy Seals vs. Zombies / 4Caring.org Ford Mustang. “It’s an organization that helps those dealing with crisis situations on a variety of different levels. I’m here to do a job this weekend to do a good job behind the wheel – but spreading the word that there are options for those who need it the most.”
