You may not like opera, but BMW’s goal with the new M2 is to make you feel like you are experiencing a masterpiece. Is the M2 BMW’s best piece of work they have ever created? BMW engineers at BMW M GmbH are true artists and have designed what could be their best M model so far. BMW Magazine released a new M2 video that in itself is a work of art. Check it out below.
10 reasons why M2 could be a masterpiece
The high-performance M2 Coupe comes with at least 10 features that will set it apart and make it BMW’s best M model yet. BMW M took the M3/M4’s newly developed 3.0 liter 6-cylinder engine and used selected internals from the high-performance powerplant. The M2 features a Twin-Scroll turbo technology, high-precision direct injection, Valvetronic, and pistons and crank bearings borrowed from the M4’s newer S55 unit.
BMW M GmbH development engineers took the best from the M3/M4 and made it lighter, smaller and more fun to drive than the M4. The new M2 features a lightweight aluminum suspension, comes with a manual gearbox with rev-matching technology, a fully variable Active M differential and high performance brakes. It also features an over-boost function that raises the horsepower figure by 26 lb-ft to 369 lb-ft between 1,450 and 4,750 rpm
