DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (Jan. 15, 2016) - - Current NASCAR Next driver Dylan Lupton (@luptondylan) will take the next step in his racing career and participate in the open ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards test session this weekend at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

Lupton has partnered with Win-Tron Racing which formed an alliance with Empire Racing Group to pilot the No. 82 Ford Fusion at the “World Center of Racing” this weekend. Lupton, 22, is seeking to gain clearance to compete in next month’s ARCA season-opener at the 2.5-mile superspeedway on Feb. 13.

“This surely is a dream come true and I can’t thank everyone enough for making this possible,” said Lupton.

“I’ve always wanted the opportunity to race around Daytona International Speedway and thanks to Kevin Cywinski, Mike Cheek and everyone at Win-Tron Racing and Empire Racing Group, I’ll be able to do so. I can’t wait to get going.”

Lupton hopes to make his ARCA Racing Series debut next month with the anticipation of competing in NASCAR’s Speedweeks a week later.

“We’re working hard to put all the right pieces together,” added the Wilton, California native. “This opportunity to test at Daytona this weekend though gives us an added boost to hopefully put things in place with my NASCAR season. I’m just thankful for the opportunity and look forward to making the best of it.”

Lupton is equally looking forward to being a part of an organization that produced some of the fastest times in preseason testing in December 2014.

“Through my partnership with Win-Tron Racing, I’m able to drive an Empire Racing Group car and it’s no secret that Mike (Cheek) and his team have built some fast race cars,” sounded Lupton. “I’m just looking for comfort and to feel the draft for the first time – so I know what to expect for the race. I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the Win-Tron and Empire Racing teammates.”

Cywinski, owner of Win-Tron Racing became aware of Lupton’s abilities and talent while watching him compete in the NASCAR XFINITY Series last season.

“Every time I’ve seen Dylan climb into a race car, he’s shown immediate speed and I think he’ll do the same this weekend at Daytona,” said Cywinski. “He is a young talent who is eager to learn and quick to shine. We’re excited to have him under the Win-Tron Racing and Empire Racing Group banner this weekend and look forward to the future.”

After finishing second in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West championship in 2014, Lupton advanced to the NASCAR XFINITY Series in 2015 in a partial schedule with Athenian Motorsports. Lupton earned the organization their first top-10 finish in XFINITY competition with a ninth place result at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Lupton again plans to compete in a limited NASCAR schedule this season.
