LAS VEGAS – It’s the granddaddy of doorslammer races and it’s less than a week away.
The best of the best are coming to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Nov. 19-22 for the JEGS.com Street Car Super Nationals Presented by Chris Alston’s Chassisworks, including the newly-crowned two-time NHRA Pro Mod champion Troy Coughlin. The Ohio native is also a two-time champion at this event and is looking for numero tres.
Who else is on the guest list? The quickest man on radials, Jason Michalak; the world’s fastest door car pilot, Paul Mouhayet; Larry Larson and the world’s quickest and fastest street-driven truck, and the list goes on and on.
“This is truly an international event,” said SCSN Promoter and Premier Street Car Association President Mel Roth. “We have racers from Canada, the Middle East, England, Australia, and more competing for the largest cash payouts in the sport. In addition, we have contingency and bonus awards of 250 thousand dollars ensuring only the best of the best are going to be racing at this amazing event. We shatter records every year and there’s no reason to think it’s not going to happen again next week!”
Plus, thanks once again to BangShift.com, the event will be carried live starting Thursday at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST with the TurboSmart/BangShift Pro Mod Shootout. “We can’t thank the guys at BangShift.com enough,” Roth said. “They’re some of the best in the business when it comes to live drag racing and we’re fortunate to have them with us again this year.”
