La quindicesima e ultima tappa della Dakar, sul circuito di Dakar, è stata vinta dal lettone Vinters per le moto e dal sudafricano De Villiers per le auto.

La classifica finale vede al primo posto il francese Depres, seguito dal connazionale Casteu e dallo statunitense Blais, tutti su KTM.

Nella classifica delle auto, primo il francese Peterhansel alla guida di una Mitsubishi, seguito dal compagno di scuderia, il francese Alphand, e dal francese Schlesser alla guida di una Schlesser-Ford.

Nei camion ha vinto l'olandese Stacey.
