Nearly 1,100,000 Ford Galaxies have been sold since the car was introduced less than three years ago.

"The strong sales achievement," said Matthew S. McLaughlin, Ford Division general sales manager, "is a credit to the fine styling and engineering features of the Galaxies and has prompted us to add another series, the Galaxie 500, to the line for 1962."

"The Galaxie and Galaxie 500 are low price, luxury automobiles," McLaughlin said.

In its first year, the Galaxie in the Ford line of standard cars accounted for more than eight per cent of the total industry sales. More than 464,000 Galaxies were sold in the 1959 model year.

High public acceptance of the Galaxie has continued. During the 1961 model year, Galaxie sales accounted for 44.5 per cent of the standard Ford total sales.

The Ford Galaxie series, along with all other Ford, Falcon, and Thubderbird models, are being shown at Grant Motor Company.
