Forty artists. One Design Center. One event.
This is what you would find at the General Motors’ “Five”. This is an event that would showcase the works and designs of forty artists who belong to the Design Center Gallery. The gallery would also be working side by side with GM on this. The artists would be showing off pieces of art that hold various edges in design. All would be measure 5 inches by 5 inches.
Why “Five”? The organizers of the mentioned artistic event say that it is so as to tell everyone that it is held in celebration of the fifth year of the Design Center Gallery as a permanent one.
The pieces of art would be coming in different mediums. The organizers even did mention that the designs one would be seeing if they would attend “Five” would range from the very traditional forms of art to highly modern ones that are meant to blow your mind away. You would also be finding art pieces made from bronze, from wood, ceramic and cement. There are also those which use acrylic and watercolor. It would be surprising to find EBC Redstuff products found though but it could be a reality for the range of materials used by the artists is quite huge.
Digital images are also part of the display at “Five”. There are also pieces made from fabric and glass.
Karysa Naeve is a sculptor and specializes in large and midsized truck interiors. She also is one of the organizers of the Design Center Gallery. On the upcoming event, she says, “The amount of skill, creativity, and talent at Design Center is truly amazing. We are happy to have a space in which to recognize and celebrate the artistic spirit of our artists and craftspeople.”
The art exhibit runs staring on March 15th and ends on the 26th of April. The venue of the event can be found inside the Design Center Administration building in Michigan. Anyone who is interested can come in and enjoy the sights showcased. However, the organizers of “Five” do say though that visitors would not be allowed to use “image capturing devices”.
