For most people, a car is simply a mode of transportation. However, you also have other people that absolutely think their car is an extension of themselves. They may want to add all the bling that they can get for their car - these people are also the ones that usually have a lot of knowledge about what is available. So what if you are new to "dressing up" your car? What kinds of accessories and parts can you find in order to place them in or on your car? Well, let's take a look at a few basic and not so basic options available to you!
Car Audio: Basic functions of a regular car might include a radio, possibly a CD player, and some speakers. Eh. Some really cool options might include things like sub-woofers, XM radio or satellite radio, CD players with multi-disk usage, HD radio, media players, iPod and MP3 connectors, and much more! This is all about the sound of things - have it be radio, music, TV, or movies.
Mobile Video: This is one of the newer and more innovative options. No more bringing along your portable DVD player in the car with you. Now you can have HD quality LCD screens in your car. Usually people will place these on the back headrests of the front seats of the car. You can hook up DVD players, blu-ray, even video game consoles! You also have other visual options available to you as well such as GPS, video, radar detectors, bluetooth kits, and even projectors.
Exterior Options: This is going to include options such as body kits, bumpers, spoilers, accents, stripes, vertical door systems, trim, exhaust pipes and systems, fenders, and yes, even nitro options - but these are only available in certain states and certain situations. You can also choose from neon lighting too which also seems to be a BIG hit! These neon lighting options go on underneath the carriage of your car and can be turned on by installing a switch on the inside of your car door. They come in all kinds of colors such as red, yellow, blue, pink, purple, and green! This is all about how you want the outside of your car to look. You can definitely put some bling on your car when it comes to external options. Vroom!
Ultimately you could really end up souping your car up with these products both inside and outside. One thing I gotta suggest is to not make your car a show piece. It's YOUR car, do what you feel comfortable with and what you can actually afford. Also, make sure you follow any and all laws in your location. Some states won't allow tinted windows, sub-woofers or neon lighting. One thing you can do is to try and check out some info online or even go to your local government page and see if you can find anything about these laws - and make sure you follow them to a T!
