Updated December 8, 2014: Gregory B. Moore was arrested December 3, 2014.

Gregory B. Moore (a/k/a Pop), 35, is wanted by the FBI on federal carjacking charges for his alleged involvement in a series of armed carjackings and attempted carjackings on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. Moore is also believed to have been involved in the shooting of two victims, one man, now deceased, and one woman during the carjacking spree.

Moore, pictured below, should be considered armed and dangerous.

He is still at large and was last seen traveling on foot east of I-95 near Broward Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, around 9 a.m. on December 2.

The series of carjackings began around 8 a.m. and roughly followed this timeline:

  • At 8 a.m., the suspect allegedly carjacked a Suzuki on Sunrise Blvd near I-95 North.
  • Between approximately 8:05 and 8:10 a.m., the suspect carjacked a second vehicle, a Chevrolet Silverado, on southbound I95 near Griffin Road and headed east.
  • At approximately 8:30 a.m., the suspect allegedly shot a man and a woman in the vicinity of 219 East Hallandale Beach Blvd. in Hallandale Beach, Florida, and then left that scene.
  • Between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m., the suspect attempted but failed to carjack another vehicle on I-95 North near Hallandale Beach Blvd.
  • Between 8:40 and 8:45 a.m., he attempted but failed to carjack another vehicle on I-95 North between Hallandale Beach Blvd. and Pembroke Road.
  • At about 8:50 a.m., he successfully carjacked a third vehicle, a silver Mercedes, on I-95 North near Pembroke Road.
  • At around 8:59 a.m., he was involved in a single vehicle accident on I-95 North near Broward Blvd (on the on ramp).
  • From there, he fled on foot and was last seen east of I-95 near Broward Blvd.


  • Fort Lauderdale Police Department (PD), Broward Sheriff’s Office, City of Hallandale PD, Florida Highway Patrol, and the FBI continue their investigation.
