FBI Announces an Arrest Made in Connection with an Armored Truck Robbery in Miami

The FBI announces the arrest of Daniel Ochoa, 24, of Miami, Florida, for his alleged involvement in the robbery of the an armored truck on August 15, 2014, in the vicinity of 2905 NW 27 Ave. in Miami, Florida.

The arrest was made without incident this morning August 5, 2014, by the FBI’s SWAT team in the vicinity of 2900 block of NW 4th Street, Miami, Florida.

Ochoa is in federal custody and is facing federal charges for a Hobbs Act robbery and the use/carry of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. He will make his initial appearance at the Federal Courthouse in Miami, Florida.

The FBI continues to offer a $5,000 reward for information leading to additional arrest(s) in this matter.

The FBI, City of Miami Police Department, and the South Florida Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force continue their investigation.
