Seeking the Public’s Assistance in Locating Person of Interest in Garda Armored Car Robbery

The FBI and Phoenix Police Department are interested in locating a person of interest who may be involved with the Garda armored car robbery that occurred on Friday, April 25, 2014, around 9:30 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 707 East Glendale Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.
During the robbery, Lonnie Smith was shot and later died from his injuries. Witnesses saw a black male in his 20s, approximately 5’9” tall, 180 pounds running from the scene of the crime. A black male matching the witness description above was caught on video surveillance with Lonnie Smith prior to the robbery. This individual is a person of interest.
Additionally, a video surveillance image of a black sedan, possibly an older model Lincoln Town Car or Mercedes, can be seen near the Wells Fargo a few minutes before the robbery. The driver of this vehicle is also a person of interest. The FBI is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this investigation.
