Night driving is considerably dangerous. Drunk drivers, dark roads, poor lighting among many others can send your automobile smashing against other cars. That is why today, car manufacturers incorporate the best safety features technology has offer in every automobile they release. Just like as what the saying goes, better be safe than sorry.
Perhaps the best precautionary equipment in vehicles, aside from the brakes of course, are its lighting system. During the night where vision is often limited, it is important to let other cars know of you're presence to avoid collision. This is where the lights come in to play. Headlights beam approaching vehicles telling them to slow down while tail lights signal the cars at your back. Particularly, there is one lighting system facet that greatly suffice the lack of warning lights at the sides.
Side markers are small lights encased in a plastic shell which are attached to the side of the car by the front fender. These lights are mainly used to illuminate the automobile's side profile. It is best used for reverse movement purposes especially for parallel parking where it is important to let other cars alongside know that you are backing up. Lights on the side are very important during the night. Again, most companies engineer top of the line lighting equipment for their cars.
Take the Saturn side marker for example. These lights are easily applied on the four corners of the side requiring simple adhesive for connection. Side markers enable the car to effectively communicate its position and intention of maneuvering. Also, they enhance style and luxury when it comes to the overall appeal of the car.
Although some of them are completely unforeseen, many accidents can be avoided. The use of Saturn side markers significantly decreases the hazards of night driving.
