SANTA FE – As restaurants and breweries re-open, the New Mexico Department of Transportation and its partners are renewing a program to get New Mexican’s home safely.
NMDOT is partnering with Bernalillo County, the city of Albuquerque, Cumulus radio stations and Uber to resume “Take a Ride on Us” program, designed to combat drunk driving.
The program offers participants in the Bernalillo County metro area, an Uber credit of up to $10 beginning Thursday, June 18 through Tuesday, June 3o.
Funding has been provided to cover 3,000 rides during that period.
Participants will access the credit through the Uber app; using the code: SUMMER2020.
Tips are not included and refunds are not provided for trips that cost less than the $10 credit. All riders are required to wear masks.
Since Christmas 2018, this public-private partnership has provided thousands of safe rides home to New Mexican’s living in the Albuquerque metro area who choose not to drink and drive.
Working together, we can ENDWI.
