20 May 1952

Building One Of Finest In This Section

The new building of Lee Motors of Dunn, Inc. and Lee's Truck Terminal, located on the Fayetteville highway, is one of the prettiest and most modernistic new buildings of its kind to be found anywhere in Eastern Carolina.

On Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock, the new building will be formally opened to the public and a large crowd is expected for the event.

President Wilbert Lee has operated the truck terminal here for years and last fall purchased the Oldsmobile dealership. He decided to combine all his business under one room so he enlarged and remodeled Lee's Truck Terminal and built showrooms, huge garage and new office quarters to house Lee Motors of Dunn, Inc.

The new building is completely modern and up-to-date in every respect.

The electrical work was done by Youngblood Brothers of Dunn, McLamb Plumbing and Heating Co. installed the plumbing and Heating, Electric Motor and Refrigeration Co. of Dunn installed the air-conditioning, bins and fixtures were supplied by the Bins and Equipment Company of Atlanta, Georgia.

Lumber was furnished by the C. L. Tart Lumber Company of Wade, the beautiful glass front was installed by the Carolina Glass Company of Durham; concrete blocks were supplied by Gray Concrete Pipe Company of Wilson, and the neon signs were built and erected by the Parker Neon Sign Company of Fayetteville.
