Intelligent Vehicle-Highway Society of America; Public Meeting

AGENCY: Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), DOT.

ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY: The Intelligent Vehicle-Highway Society of America (IVHS 
AMERICA) will hold a meeting of its Planning Committee Council on July 
24 and 25, 1994. The session is expected to focus on: (1) Discussion of 
a draft report illustrating how the draft National Program Plan for 
Intelligent Vehicle Highway Systems (IVHS) could be used to facilitate 
the preparation of advice to the Department of Transportation on its 
future IVHS program; and (2) Presentation and discussion of issues 
raised through the review of the May 1994 second draft of the National 
Program Plan for IVHS.

DATES: The Planning Committee Council of IVHS AMERICA will meet on July 
24 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., e.t., and on July 25 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 
p.m., e.t.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: IVHS AMERICA provides a forum for national 
discussion and recommendations on IVHS activities including programs, 
research needs, strategic planning, standards, international liaison, 
and priorities. The charter for the utilization of IVHS AMERICA 
establishes this organization as an advisory committee under the 
Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), 5 U.S.C. app. 2, when it 
provides advice or recommendations to DOT officials on IVHS policies
