Best in class timing belt, transmission mount to keep Audi in tight rein

In every Audi model, both the engine and transmission systems work together to give drivers a tight rein of the car. The Audi transmission is the chief vehicle part that facilitates control of the vehicle. But because engine operations are chronically disruptive and at times erratic, the Audi transmission tends to fall short in providing drivers a good command of the car. One reason why engines are disruptive may involve the piston and crankshaft movement during the combustion process. Valve timing, a critical part of the power-generation process in the Audi engine, waits for nothing. The renowned power of the Audi depends in large parts on the preset rotation of the engine's pistons, that every integral part of the engine must be up to specs so no individual component burdens the car with an out-of-sync performance. Maximum engine performance can be attained with an Audi engine that works cohesively.

The clockwork precision of the Audi engine is attributed to the Audi timing belt. Linking the engine's camshaft to the crankshaft, the Audi timing belt operates the engine valves to "time" the intake compression and the power and exhaust strokes. Audi timing belts typically have a superior rubber make to lend the durability of metal timing chains to the engine, but without the noise that has come to characterize metal belts. The rubber toughness of the Audi timing belt guarantees a mileage of about 100,000 miles before ever needing adjustments. But, due to the importance of its job, an Audi timing belt requires routine checkup. As the Audi timing belt keeps your engine working within the optimum level, it takes the brunt of a number of nuances in driving applications that the Audi is subjected to.

At the transmission end of the Audi, a support system part called a Audi transmission mount is fitted on the Audi drivetrain to keep its parts in place. During transmission both the clutch assembly and the engine throb violently from the flow of rotational motion. The cabin, on the other hand, is spared from it on account of the mounts that keep these Audi parts in check. Audi transmission mounts are basically installation points, supporting a particular transmission part and isolating it from adjacent parts. In most cases, the Audi transmission mount is made of steel and reinforced with a rubber insulator. One end of the mounting points is fastened to the car chassis and absorbs the byproduct of rotational motion flow. Because clutch rattle is reduced, the Audi transmission mount makes shifting gears easy. Every time the clutch pedal is pressed, drivers can get off and on the throttle without the gear stick dithering.
