Steering rack, taillight guards for total Audi performance

Audi accessories like the steering rack and taillight guard may not be involved in the power generation process of the Audi engine, but they are integral parts to the overall performance of the Audi. The Audi taillights assembly, for example, is one of the essential marker lights installed on the vehicle. More than giving cars greater visibility on the road, Audi taillights are hazard lights that signal to nearby drivers of approaching vehicles whether the Audi is slowing down or coming to a stop, turning left or right, or pulling over to the side. When the car stops at a shoulder along the road, the hazard assembly of the Audi taillights may also be used to alert adjacent vehicles that the car is on a temporary stop or experiencing mechanical or other car problems.

A protective part of the Audi exterior lights called taillight guard is essential if the assembly is to continue providing the car with the necessary lighting. The Audi taillight guard is what protects the internal wiring of the assembly from the elements. It protects the bulb and the wires from rain and road salt, lengthening their service life. Audi taillight guards, in addition to its functionality, provide an eye candy of a taillight accessory. It is commonly available in custom made varieties, colors, and designs.

The Audi steering rack, on the other hand, is what gives drivers a tight rein of the car. For today’s modern vehicles like the Audi, the rack and pinion style of steering is preferred for its weight savings and durability. In a way, the stick and the pinion of the steering assembly are both connected in one unit commonly referred to as the steering rack. The Audi steering rack is attached to the steering wheel via a set of shafts and U-joint. When the steering wheel is turned, it moves the pinion, thereby pushing the steering rack either to the left or to the right. In order for the Audi to turn in either direction, the ends of the steering rack are connected to the front wheels. The Audi steering rack is permanently lubricated and may last as long as the vehicle itself.
