New models will once again grace the Miami Beach Convention center as the South Florida International Auto Show opens its door. This will be the 37th staging of the motor show which will see numerous unveiling of new models and stunning concept cars. The show opens Friday, October 9.
The trend of fuel economy being showcased on motor shows will continue at the said event. Organizers of the show claim that vehicles combining fuel efficiency and functionality will be stealing the show. There would also be small vehicles which are naturally fuel efficient will also be showcased in the hope of attracting young car buyers.
The said show will be opened from October 9 to 18. Visitors will be able to view about 1,000 new car models from forty auto manufacturers. Apart from new car models, the even will also be displaying accessories for vehicles. Exotic cars will also be on display. As can be expected, concept cars will also be shown at the event. These cars will be infused with technologies which will be used in the future by automakers.
"There's no place like South Florida to kick-off the auto show season," said Bill Sandidge, the show chairman according to The Auto Channel. "Visitors can take their time checking out each one, and South Beach is just around the corner," he added.
Some of the vehicles which will be showcased at the event will no doubt attract auto buyers. The Infiniti EX35 will be shown at the motor show as well as the Nissan Rogue SUV. Auto parts like Mazda brake calipers can also be included in the event if Mazda will unveil a new car. Other vehicles that will be making an appearance at the event include the new Volkswagen Tiguan crossover, the Saturn Astra hatchback, the Scion xD and the Pontiac G8.
Automakers will also showcase refreshed models like the Ford Taurus, Mercury Sable and the new Flex crossover. Chrysler's minivans have been redesigned and will be showcased at the event along with the Chevy Malibu and the Honda Accord. Green vehicles which will be shown at the event are the Cadillac Escalade and the Chevy Tahoe. The hybrid versions of these General Motors vehicles will be showcased at the event. Clean diesel vehicles will also be shown at the event including the Mercedes-Benz GL320 CDI and Mercedes-Benz ML320 CDI and the Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD 4X4. The event will be a good place for consumers looking for a new car to visit.
