A man robbed a northeast Albuquerque bank Monday afternoon, June 11, 2018 and may have fled in a white U-Haul van.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s, approximately 5'7", with a slender build.
He wore a green baseball cap, a dark short-sleeve T-shirt over a long-sleeve dark shirt, and blue jeans.
The robbery occurred at Western Commerce Bank, 1910 Wyoming Boulevard, NE, at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Witnesses said they saw a white van with a U-Haul logo pull into the bank parking lot and a woman got out.
The woman entered the bank and asked about opening an account before leaving. She is not considered a suspect at this time but authorities would like to question her.
About 20 minutes later, the same van or an identical one pulled into a parking lot on the other side of the bank.
The suspect wasn't seen exiting the van but he appeared in the bank shortly afterward.
He demanded money from several tellers and told them he had a gun.
The tellers handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect, who left the bank.
A short time later, the white van left the area.
The woman is described as a white female in her early 40s, approximately 5'7” tall, with a heavy build. She had shoulder-length dark hair and wore a dark sleeveless shirt.
Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact the FBI at (505) 889-1300, or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (505) 843-STOP.
The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
