AUTO BUG HAS BITTEN JOHN LAWLER

Prescott Journal-Miner
27 June 1913

Orders Locomobile The Cost of Which is 5,000 Ducats.

John Lawler has concluded to turn his equine family out on the Santa Maria range to roam at will in the future, and to keep pace with other Hassayampers, and particularly his mining associate, Judge Wells, will clip over the highways hereafter in a $5,000 Locomobile.

The car was ordered during his recent trip to San Francisco and is due to make its debut in this city on or before July 4. It will be of five passenger accomodation, and is to be electrically lighted, with an electric self-starter and every improvement mechanically that a modern and durable car possesses.

Mr. Lawler is tired of the old method of taking a day to start to his mining camp at Hillside and another before he lands at the place. He also stated yesterday that the building of the new wagon road through Kirkland and Thompson valleys is the inducement for outlaying a snug sum for the auto, and later he begins preparing the road to his mines. This will be the most expensive car in Northern and Central Arizona, as well as the most luxurious.
