FBI Offering Up to $100,000 for Information Leading to the Arrest of Timothy Thomas Coombs

The FBI Kansas City Division is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of Timothy Thomas Coombs. The reward was first announced by the FBI in 2004 for Coombs, who is wanted for the unlawful flight to avoid prosecution for first-degree assault on a law enforcement officer.

On September 16, 1994, Coombs allegedly shot a Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper in the chest, believed to be an act of retaliation for an arrest conducted by the officer on an associate of Coombs. A state arrest warrant was issued on September 23, 1994 charging Coombs with first-degree assault of a law enforcement officer. On October 19, 1994, a federal arrest warrant was issued in the Western District of Missouri charging Coombs with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Coombs formerly resided in Witts Springs, Arkansas and has associates there and in the state of Missouri. Coombs reportedly espouses radical anti-government beliefs and is associated with the Christian Identity Movement. The reward and images of Coombs will be featured on digital billboards where space is available throughout Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma.
