Announcement is made that work on the Long Island motor parkway is progressing at a most encouraging rate, several miles having already been completed.

Ed C. Dunlap, bookkeeper for the Terre Haute Auto Company of Terre Haute, Ind., is in the city on business for the company. He is stopping at the Claypool Hotel.

W. F. Polson of Buffalo, N. Y., well known as a manufacturer of wind shields, tire tools, etc., has been in New York for the last week and has just completed arrangements for salesrooms.

Reports of a most satisfactory nature are made concerning the Vanderbilt Cup race at a meeting of the racing board of the American Automobile Association held Wednesday, July 22, at 437 Fifth Avenue, New York, with Chairman Jefferson De Mount Thompson presiding.

James E. Gilson, tire expert, declares the Mitchell suspension system is a great saver of tires because the weight of the cars is balanced properly. The Mitchell people were the first manufacturers to employ a tire expert for the express purpose of cooperating with their designing force.
