Saturday schedule in effect on many routes to provide service to shopping centers

NEWARK, NJ - NJ TRANSIT will provide New Year's Day bus service on many routes in Bergen and Passaic counties to accommodate customers traveling to Bergen County malls, which will be open on the holiday, Monday, January 1.
Customers are advised that NJ TRANSIT will operate a Saturday schedule on January 1 on the following lines: 702, 705, 707, 709, 722, 744, 746, 751, 752, 753, 755, 756, 758, 762, 772 and 780. Printed timetables incorrectly show a Sunday schedule in effect.
Other changes to New Year's Day bus service include:
- 163 Ridgewood-New York: In addition to the Sunday schedule, the 163 will operate additional service to/from IKEA & Garden State Plaza and New York via Union City during mall hours. Service will depart IKEA & Garden State Plaza via Union City to New York on Saturday times between 8:23 a.m. and 6:22 p.m. Service to IKEA and Garden State Plaza will depart New York and Union City five minutes later than the Saturday times shown for service to Garden State Plaza and IKEA between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.
- 171 Paterson-New York: In addition to the Sunday schedule, service will operate hourly, departing Garden State Plaza to George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal beginning at 10:04 a.m., with the last trip at 7:04 p.m.; and departing the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal to Garden State Plaza beginning at 9:15 a.m., with the last trip at 5:15 p.m.
- 175 Ridgewood-New York: In addition to the Sunday schedule, service will operate hourly, departing Garden State Plaza to George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal beginning at 10 a.m., with the last trip at 7 p.m.; and departing the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal to Garden State Plaza beginning at 9 a.m., with the last trip at 5 p.m.
- 770 Paterson-Hackensack: Service will operate as shown on the Sunday schedule on the timetable. However, all trips will operate into Garden State Plaza both from Hackensack to Paterson as well as on trips from Paterson to Hackensack. From Hackensack to Paterson, buses will serve Garden State Plaza approximately four minutes after the time shown for Rochelle Ave. & Passaic St. From Paterson to Hackensack, buses will serve Garden State Plaza approximately seven minutes after the time shown for Broadway Plaza.
