Auto lights come in different types, each performing a specific function. Among these vital auto lights are the tail lights. Sometimes called the tail lamps, stop lamps, or rear lamps, tail lights are located at the back of an automobile. Its main function is to emit red light whenever the driver steps on the brake pedal. Through the red signal, other motorists are warned that the automobile ahead of them is preparing for a stop. The motorist behind is given enough time to slow down his automobile. Thus, tail lights help a lot in preventing car collisions.

Tail lights are made of several components designed to enhance illumination. One of the major parts of tail lights is the tail light frame or the tail lamp bezel, which is composed of various frames. Positioned at the rear fender of the automobile, the tail light frame serves as the main structure of the tail lights. Another major part is the tail light lens, which encases the tail lights. The shades of tail light lens vary among automobiles. Aside from being a protective layer, the tail light lens enhances the appearance of an automobile. For instance, most classic automobiles are equipped with tail light lens that are made of glass. The glass often comes in different colors, providing a monochromatic effect on the exterior of an automobile.

It is a trend among vehicle owners these days to have the original tail lights of their automobiles replaced. Most of them go for the specialty tail lights available in various auto parts stores. Among the trendy specialty tail lights are the Euro Altezza tail lights, which are popularized by Toyota’s Altezza model in the European market. These tail lights feature either a smoked or clear tail light lens. Adding to the attractiveness of the Euro Altezza tail lights are the tail light bulbs that come in either red or pale yellow. Moreover, the different colors and designs of these lights allow car owners to personalize their vehicles.
