For Controlled and Timely Electricity Transmission

Isuzu vehicles are either powered by petrol or diesel fuels. Although it is true that hybrids and alternative powertrains are already out in the automotive market, Isuzu remains loyal to petrol engines and has not yet dared to venture out into other engine types. As fuel needs to be burned together with air to power Isuzu vehicles, an ignition system remains to be a basic requirement for the initiation of the internal combustion process.

Before the spark that ignites the fuel and air mixture is passed on to the spark plug wires, however, it first goes through other parts. The ignition coil generates the electricity, which passes through the distributor cap to be dispersed to the spark plug wires. For a smooth operation and a more efficient combustion, it distributes the electricity in a timely manner. Considering the main function of the distributor cap, Isuzu installs it in its vehicles such as the Isuzu Trooper.

Usually made from hard plastic with a little amount of copper, the Isuzu Trooper distributor cap disseminates the electricity properly while utilizing the function of the distributor rotor. This complementing component rotates while receiving the electricity and lets it flow to the copper part of the Isuzu Trooper distributor cap. When the distributor rotor receives the electricity, it immediately passes it on to the spark plug wires and soon a spark is generated to start the combustion. The ignition and burning processes are done in a simultaneous manner, allowing for an efficient and timely engine operation.

Thousands of voltage of electricity is what the Isuzu Trooper distributor cap is faced with during engine operation. This obviously puts a lot of pressure in this ignition component so car owners should be responsible enough to check this once in a while. Timely replacement of the distributor cap also helps prevent damage on other engine parts. With a properly functioning distributor cap, one avoids the hassle of ignition troubles.
