Cruising On A Pink Cadillac

Have you been wanting to have a one-of-a-kind Cadillac that is painted pink? If you are, then you better check all your finances and see if it is enough for you to join the bidding for a Cadillac CTS which has been painted with a special hue of pink. What makes this vehicle even more unique is the fact that Aretha Franklin herself had signed the vehicle.
Where does this auction happen, you ask? Well, The Auto Channel had reported that the whole event gets underway come February 8th as part of the whole 2008 MusiCares Person of the Year gala event that is part of the Grammys. And Franklin has signed her name on that pink Cadillac for she would be awarded as the 18th MusiCares Person of the Year. MusiCares is an event where artists are honored and where the proceeds during the event are used so as to have a fund for artists and musicians who need financial, personal, and medical help. That, in a way, is giving back to artists who have been giving their time, lives, and soul to the music.
George Doss is the regional divisional marketing manager of the Cadillac brand for the western region and he stated, “Cadillac is tickled pink to provide a unique auction item celebrating Detroit native Aretha Franklin at this year's MusiCares gala. Cadillac is proud to return for the fourth consecutive year as a major sponsor of this prestigious GRAMMY Week event.”
The 2008 pink Cadillac CTS which would be going under the hammer has been revamped so as to be able to hold quite a number of features and technologies, much to the enjoyment of the new owner. It sure would not be coming with discount auto parts but it would be coming with the very parts that Cadillac has been able to manufacture. Included in the list is a 3.6 liter direct injection V6 engine that is capable of powering the machine with 304 horsepower.
Other features include a 40 gig hard drive for all your music files, a cabin that comes with accents and designs that have been made by hand, and a sunroof. Taking a seat in the cabin would mean that you are seated on leather seats while you listen to the XM Satellite radio that blares out its melodies through a BOSE sound system with eight speakers.
