There are several things on Earth that are relatively small yet have a bigger capability and higher potential in terms of function. From this category includes the mobile phone; as days pass it becomes smaller yet can possibly do multiple roles from picture shooting to mp3 streaming. In the world of automobiles, several notable producers and products can as well be compared to the above mentioned characteristics. Porsche’s car models may not have big wheels and big bodies yet they posses exclusive capabilities. Equipped with high quality Porsche parts, every Porsche model is destined to dominate the world of automobile.
Porsche is a German based car make distributed around the world. The very first Porsche was designed by Ferdinand Porsche. He was also the one who designed the first Volkswagen beetle. One distinct characteristic of Porsche cars is the engine location particularly on the coupes. Porsche parts are made to compliment to the location of the engine. One of these parts is the brake. The brakes of a Porsche are specifically made to withstand its rear engine power. Other auto parts, such as the suspension, keeps the car’s body stable and in balance. With an engine located at the rear on a rear drive vehicle, suspension is very important and so with the overall weight balance.
Porsche cars are also used in racing in various countries. There are several races like Tour de France, Daytona and Watkins Glen where Porsche cars set records. Had it not because of the performance quality Porsche parts and the dedication of the people behind this great company, such races can never be at their hands. Since the 1950’s, Porsche had been winning prestigious races both in the country and abroad. In 1970, one of Porsche car’s winnings is from the 24 Hours of Le Mans from which it garnered the grand prize. Porsche also joined a Formula 1 in 1962 and won as the champion.
Today, Porsche has declined its racing cars production due to some problems with finances but focused instead to marketing private cars. However in 2005, another Porsche model had joined an ALMS season and won the fifth position. Several original Porsche parts that were used for racing cars were still employed to the Porsche RS Spyder prototype. No doubt the result still proves remarkable.
