Applications for approval of transactions: The FTC has received an application for approval for a transaction from the following. The FTC is seeking public comments on the application for 30 days, until April 28.
- Mahle GMBH of Stuttgart, Germany, has applied for FTC approval to divest Metal Leve, Inc. and certain assets of Metal Leve S.A. to T&N Industries Inc., a Delaware Corporation. Divestiture is required under a February 1997 consent order settling charges that Mahle’s acquisition of Metal Leve, S.A. and Metal Leve, Inc. violated antitrust laws by substantially reducing competition in the markets for articulated, large-bore pistons used in diesel engines.
