SHOW TWO MODELS OF NEW FARGO LINE.

Publication: The New York Times
Date: 23 December 1928
Subject: Trucking
Topic: Fargo

TWO of the express trucks in Chrysler's new Fargo line recently announced are on exhibition for the first time at the showrooms of Simons, Stewart & Foy, Broadway and Fifty-sixth Street, and at their Brooklyn branches.

The new trucks, of half-ton and three-quarter-ton capacity, include bodies of the delivery, station wagon, bus and commercial sedan types. The former model, known as the Fargo Packet, has a four-cylinder forty-five horsepower engine; the latter, the Fargo Clipper, has a six-cylinder sixty-five horsepower engine. Prices are from $795 to $1,075, f. o. b. Detroit, including bodies. Packet chassis are priced at $545 and Clipper chassis at $725.

One, one and one-half and two-ton trucks will be presented later.

When Mr. Chrysler acquired control of Dodge Brothers he also became producer of the Graham Brothers line of trucks, a subsidiary of Dodge's.

It means an expansion of their business into the field of commercial vehicles for Simmons, Stewart & Foy to take over the metropolitan distribution of the Fargo line. The firm is already the largest distributer of Chrysler and Plymouth passenger cars in the United States.
