Concord, NC (4-6-2010) – Jason Bowles, the reigning 2009 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Champion, will make his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut with RAB Racing behind the wheel of the No. 09 Sunrise Ford Fusion on Friday, April 9, in the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway.

The 27-year-old Ontario, California native, who will be running with sponsorship partner, Sunrise Ford, has one win in the K&N Pro Series West division at the 1-mile tri-oval and will be making his second start in “The Valley of the Sun” this weekend in NASCAR’s second tier division.

“I'm really excited to be making my debut with RAB Racing at Phoenix,” said Jason. “The team has shown this year that they have the speed to run well and with a guaranteed starting spot it takes a lot of pressure off and allows me to focus on the race. I have to thank Robby (Benton) and Brack (Maggard) from RAB Racing for this great opportunity which will allow me to get back behind the wheel at a track I know and love.”

Bowles made his NNS debut at Phoenix in late 2009 (November) competing in the No. 61 Specialty Racing Ford where he experienced a strong start but got caught up in a late race incident relegating him to a 31st place finish.

“Going back to Phoenix is really exciting for me. I had a great year there last year winning the West Series race and I hope with that experience I can bring home a good result for the entire RAB Racing team.”

In addition to his duties behind the wheel of the No. 09 Sunrise Ford Fusion, Bowles will pilot the No. 31 Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma Chevrolet for GGRT/RCR in the K&N Pro Series West race on Thursday, April 8 at Phoenix International Raceway. Bowles is looking forward to defending his title after winning the 2009 event at PIR en route to winning the series championship.

RAB Racing has teamed up with Bowles for Phoenix but is still working on sponsorship for the remainder of the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.

The Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway will air live on ESPN2 on Friday, April 9. Coverage begins at 9:00 p.m. ET, and the green flag will wave at 9:30 p.m. ET.
