China’s passenger car sales grew more slowly in July, as inflation rose and consumers grew less confident.
Sales were still up around 14 percent from the same period a year earlier.
While that sounds like strong growth, it is less than previous months that saw expansion of 19 percent or more.
In the first seven months of this year, more than 10 million cars were sold in China.
