Last week I wrote about a driver who got stopped and warned for using a cell phone in a school zone. Getting a warning was a real break.
But then the cop in Cary took the driver's license and gave the driver a card on which she had written, "Driving on a ticket." She told him to pick up his license at the Cary P.D. When he went later to claim it, Cary P.D. tried to collect a $120 bond.
What for???
Last Monday I queried the Cary P.D. about this. They must be busy, because my message has not been returned.
They may find it would have been much simpler just to call me back and explain what was going on. If I send them a FOIA Request, I'll get plenty of information and will let you know all the details.
In the meantime, watch your driving in Cary.
