At least 10 Iranian pilgrims were killed Thursday in southern Iraq, when their bus flipped over during a tour of Shi’ite holy cities.

Police said at least 33 people were injured in the accident, which took place north of the city of al-Hilla and south of Baghdad.

The bus was traveling to the city of Najaf, south of al-Hilla. Najaf is considered by Shi’ites to be one of Iraq’s holiest cities.
