2010 ARCA Racing Series Champion Patrick Sheltra To Appear At Tequesta Fest

INDIANTOWN, Florida (November 18, 2010) - - The perks of being a champion. 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards champion Patrick Sheltra will return to the Sunshine State this weekend to participate in the seventh annual Tequesta Fest at Paradise Park (1 Main Street, Tequesta, Florida 33469), based in the Village of Tequesta.

Tequesta Road and Bridge of Florida joined the championship team for the final two races of the 2010 season at Kansas Speedway and Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway, where Sheltra’s fifth and fourth place finishes respectively rocketed the family-owned team to their first championship in their fourth year of competition in ARCA.

Scheduled to lift off Saturday (November 20) at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m., the Tequesta Fest is free to the residents of Tequesta and open to the public and non-residents for a $10.00 admittance fee. The Tequesta Fest will include amusement rides, live band, food, entertainment, vendors, raffles and the No. 60 Tequesta Road and Bridge of Florida / Jones Group International Toyota Camry.

Indiantown, Florida native Patrick Sheltra and championship crew chief Jon Wolfe will also be on-hand for Saturday’s event and will sign autographs and take photos from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., next to the 3,400 pound hot rod. At 6:45 p.m., Sheltra will raffle off a special prize, which the winner must be present to win. Additional give-a-ways from the Sheltra Motorsports team will be held during the day.

The estimated attendance for this year’s event is 5,000. Three trolleys with 17 stop locations will be available all day to transport attendees to and from their parking place to Paradise Park.

“I am looking forward to Saturday,” said Sheltra, who boasted two wins, 12 top-fives and 17 top-10 finishes in 20 events to secure his first stock car championship last month. “The Tequesta folks have been awesome not only to Sheltra Motorsports but to our other marketing partner, Sheltra & Son Construction, Inc. as well. It is a real pleasure to come out and attend an event of this magnitude, which will be flourished with guests of all ages. I encourage everyone to come on out and see us and enjoy the Tequesta Fest!”
