A school van carrying at least 30 people in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir plunged into a river Tuesday, killing at least 15 people.
Authorities say the driver lost control of the van near Garhi Dopatta, causing it to skid off the road and fall into the Jhelum River.
Local residents rescued the driver and five school children. They also helped pull 15 bodies from the river.
Police were searching the water for remaining passengers.
Authorities say the children were on a trip to attend Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
