RANDLEMAN, North Carolina (March 10, 2011) - - The wait is over.

After a long winter break, up and comer Ryan Wilson will return to the seat of the No. 12 Randolph Bank Toyota Camry at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway in Asheboro, North Carolina for the first event of the season for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS).

Wilson, the winner of last Fall’s Richard Petty Driver Search II is anxious for Sunday’s 200-lap contest after pre-season testing went extremely well for his Ryan Wilson Motorsports (RWM) team.

“We’re looking forward to Sunday,” said Wilson, who also recently announced a five race schedule in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards with Win-Tron Racing. “We’ve done some extensive testing over the last couple of weeks and the vibes from the outcome of the test have me confident about the race.”

Wilson, a native of nearby Randleman, North Carolina will run for championship honors at Caraway. He knows that starting the year off the right foot is crucial to hopefully receiving the championship honors.

“The championship would be very special, but it’s a little too early to think about that,” sounded Wilson. “Our goal for this weekend is to go out there and show everyone that our RWM team is capable of running for the championship. We have a good team with a lot of support; hopefully we can have the finish that will steer us towards making that dream a reality.”

With a confident approach to the season, Wilson arrives at the legendary short track this weekend with plenty of support. Last month, Randolph Bank announced that they would continue their support of RWM as the primary marketing partner for 2011. In addition, the team welcomes Southern Pharmacy Services as an associate marketing partner for both the Late Model and ARCA programs in 2011.

“It’s a great feeling to know that we have so much support,” he said. “I sincerely appreciate everything that Randolph Bank has done for my career. I’m looking forward to another year of winning with them. And to have additional local support from Southern Pharmacy Services is very important in the development and growth of RWM. I don’t plan to let them down this weekend.”

Can’t make it to the race but still want to see the No. 12 Randolph Bank Toyota Camry? On Friday, March 11, the car will be displayed from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Randolph Mall in Asheboro.

An on-track autograph session has been etched in for 1:00 p.m. Sunday with the green-flag for the 2011 season-opener set to lift off shortly after 2:00 p.m.
