Concord, NC (12/04/10) - Young Gun, Indy Lights, Asian and British Formula 3 driver Alastair (Ali) Jackson has signed on with Venturini Motorsports for the 2011-2012 ARCA Racing Seasons.
A native of Northern Ireland, Ali is the latest top European driver to set his sights on a successful career in NASCAR. Already a proven Formula driver, Ali has selected Venturini Motorsports to assist with his development and transition from open-wheel to stock car racing.

Like many top-drivers, Ali started his racing career in Karting before moving up to the professional ranks.
In 2006, Ali began his professional career competing in the Asian Formula 3 Championship Series. As a rookie, at the age of 17, Ali became the youngest driver to win in series history, capturing 4 victories and 4 pole positions. In 2007 he moved to the competitive British Formula 3 Series and drove for Raikkonen Robertson Racing team where he finished 9th in the point standings. In 2009, Ali attracted the attention of United States based RLR-Andersen Racing, where he competed in the Firestone Indy Lights Series, capturing a season best 6th place finish at Long Beach.
Ali will compete in selective 2011 ARCA Racing Series events under the Venturini banner in preparation for a full season effort in 2012. Both team and driver are committed to structuring a strategic program in order to achieve their outlined goals.
