Why such a hurry? |

This afternoon I watched a driver on Lake Avenue make two passes of vehicles that were already traveling at the 35MPH speed limit. On a City street, why would a driver be in such a hurry?
The first pass was between Madison and Dick Tracy Park, when he (or she) passed me. What I noticed in particular was that the driver wasn't in any hurry to return to the eastbound lane. Then the driver passed the next car and again was in no hurry to return to the eastbound lane.
I drove along with traffic and then stopped right behind that driver at Route 47, where the light was red. That driver surely saved a lot of time; right?
Where was the driver headed? To the drive-through lane at American Community Bank!
If you find yourself being passed by a black Subaru with Illinois license plate 916 3786, hang back and give that vehicle a lot of room!
