How'd the cops do around McHenry County on St. Patrick's Day? Did they nab any drivers after too much green beer? I mean, by the drivers...
Has there been anything in the papers yet about the number of arrests for DUI?
If you'd like a good read about DUI arrests, check out the DWI Hit Parade in "My Blog List" (in the right sidebar) or click on www.dwihitparade.com/ Publisher Ken Rossignol shows no mercy to those to drive impaired or drunk, and they deserve none. Check that website often, and tell others about it. Discuss it with your family and especially with your kids.
We must be vigilant about not driving after we have been drinking and watching out for those irresponsible drivers who do drive after drinking.
Report all drunk drivers and suspected drunk drivers. Keep yourself in the clear. If you follow a drunk, stay well back. If you dial 9-1-1 to report a drunk, try to stay on the line until the police can catch up. The police officer or deputy may be able to "make" the case on his own, if he can follow the drunk driver long enough to identify erratic driving or another violation but, if not, he may need your observations and statement to help convict the drunk driver.
If the dispatcher disconnects your call and the driver makes a turn, call back.
Remember: the life you save, may be your own!
