  • Joe Denette Motorsports associate, Hermie Sadler, will make his 11th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Martinsville Speedway in this weekend’s Goody’s Fast Relief 500. Sadler will pilot the No. 71 entry for TRG Motorsports

Last Time Atop The Charts: Crew Chief, Chad Kendrick, has one win to his credit at Martinsville Speedway. Kendrick called the shots for Timothy Peters in 2009 at Red Horse Racing when Peter’s lead the most laps en route to his first NCWTS victory.

Martinsville Minute: White will make his 8th start at Martinsville Speedway in this weekend’s Kroger 250. The Richmond, Virginia native, has one top-5 finish (4th, October, 2010), leading seven laps, with an average start of 21.4 and an average finish of 18.0.

Points Check: Following a tough start to 2011, including two DNF’s at Daytona and Darlington, the No. 23 Joe Denette Motorsports team is 30th in owner points. Jason White is currently 24th in the driver point standings.

This Week’s No. 23 GunBroker.com Chevy: Jason White will pilot chassis “JDM05” in Saturday night’s Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway. This is a brand new chassis from the Joe Denette Motorsports stables and is the first chassis the JDM team has been able to test prior to a race weekend.

Rearview Mirror-Darlington: After running in the top-15 for most of the Too Tough To Tame 200, the No. 23 GunBroker.com Chevrolet fell victim to an incident on lap 73 of 147, relegating the rookie team to a 33rd place finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Darlington Raceway.

Welcome Home: Joe Denette, owner of Joe Denette Motorsports, and Jason White, driver of the No. 23 GunBroker.com Chevrolet, are both Virginia natives. Denette, a Fredericksburg, VA native, still currently resides in "The Old Dominion State." However, White, a Richmond native, currently resides in Huntersville, NC, near the team’s race shop. Hermie Sadler, an associate of Joe Denette Motorsports, is also a VA native from Emporia.

March Madness: The Joe Denette Motorsports team has their own NCAA Tournament Bracket competition and only three members of the team remain in contention. The only team keeping the three alive is UConn. Driver, Jason White is currently ranked 2nd among the 8 crew members and he had UConn battling it out with Notre Dame. For White to beat current first place contender, tire specialist, Matt Ross, UConn has to win it all! Although, White didn’t pick VCU past the first round, they are the Cinderella story of the NCAA tournament and a Virginia based school. White, a Virginia native himself is happy for the school and will be cheering them on as they compete for the NCAA Championship.

Quoting Jason White: One of your best finishes of 2010 was at Martinsville, is this a track that you enjoy running at? “I do enjoy running at Martinsville, I finished fourth and contended for a win there in the fall race last year. However, Martinsville is tough; it’s so unique and can be very mentally draining on a driver. Double file restarts are a challenge and if you don’t find your way to the bottom of the track, you will get freight trained.”

What are your thoughts on the 2011 season so far? “Obviously this is not the start we had in mind for 2011. We are a new team and will have growing pains but we have such a solid group this year and good trucks from KHI. We have just had bad luck, simply stated.”

“We were running in the top-5 for most of the race at Daytona and got caught up in a wreck that was out of our control. We pulled off a top-10 finish at Phoenix but once again at Darlington after running in the top-15 for most of the afternoon we were sidelined just past half-way for an incident that was not of our doing. We are in a hole right now but it’s not something we can’t get out of. We still have 22 races left and I know that we will run well at Martinsville and contend for a win.”
