Afghan Woman Killed in Car Crash with NATO Troops

Police in Afghanistan say at least one Afghan woman was killed Wednesday in a car accident with NATO troops.

A Kabul police spokesman said the soldiers involved in the crash were British.

Earlier reports said two women were killed in the accident and another man was killed when the soldiers opened fire on an angry crowd that had gathered at the scene. But, the Kabul police spokesman told Reuters news agency that information was a miscommunication.

NATO officials say they are aware of the incident and are investigating.
