Protesters took over highway toll booths for several hours across Greece Sunday to protest increases in fees.
The protesters lifted the gates and let cars pass through for free.
Some drivers complain that they are forced to pay half their daily salaries in tolls and gasoline just to get to work and back home.
Others complain that the Greek government turned over toll booth operations to private contractors who fail to make needed road improvements with the money they collect.
The protesters say they plan more demonstrations.
