FORT ATKINSON, Wis. (April 22, 2011) – The Mid-American Stock Car Series will join the Big 8 Late Models and ASA Midwest Truck tour at Madison International Speedway on Friday, July 1. The series will also visit MIS on September 24.

“Dave Gruenberg (Madison promoter) inquired about another Mid-Am event this past weekend at Rockford,” said MASCS co-owner Doug Strasburg. “The racing is always spectacular at Madison, it was impossible to pass up the opportunity.”

Madison has been the host of some of the most exciting Mid-American races in recent history. Last season Jeremy Spoonmore secured a win in the caution-marred Capitol Classic. Two seasons ago he was victorious thanks to a last lap pass in the Split 50.

Mid-American also was forced to drop its May 28 date at Marshfield Motor Speedway on Friday, due to unforeseen circumstances at the venue.

The next stop for the Mid-American Stock Car Series is Saturday, May 21 at Norway (Mich.) Speedway for the M-“eh” Main. Lyle Nowak is two-for-two in MASCS action at the third-mile on the Dickinson County Fairgrounds.

Norway Speedway is located on the Dickinson County Fairgrounds just off Highway 8 in Norway, Mich. For more information visit www.norwayspeedway.com
