School Bus Accident in Pakistan Kills 12

Officials in Pakistan say at least 12 children have died and at least two more are injured after a bus veered off the road and plunged into a canal Friday.

Reports say the accident took place in Pakistan-held Kashmir, as the bus was carrying the children to schools in Mirpur district.

Rescuers are searching the canal for more victims.

Road accidents are common in Pakistan because of poor road conditions and reckless driving.
