BROOKLYN, Michigan (June 17, 2011) - - For the third time in the last four races, New Philadelphia, Ohio native Chad Hackenbracht maneuvered a career-best finish in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. On Friday afternoon, the 19-year old improved on last week’s seventh place finish, a then personal best to an impressive fourth place effort in the RainEater Wiper Blades 200 at Michigan International Speedway (MIS).

Earlier in the day, the driver of the No. 58 Tastee Chocolate Apples Chevrolet Impala SS matched a season best qualifying run of eighth, giving the CGH Motorsports team good vibes heading into the eighth race of the season.

During the course of the 100-lap event, Hackenbracht found himself competitive and solid in the top-10. After the first round of pit stops, the rising star carefully maneuvered his Chevrolet bow-tie back towards the front and found himself running in the top-five by lap 57. Hackenbracht would continue to climb the leader board as the race pressed on running as high as second before eventually slipping back to fourth where he took the checkered flag.

It was the 2008 National Asphalt Legends champion career-best finish in 18 starts. Last weekend in the Pocono ARCA 200 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, Hackenbracht claimed seventh bypassing a previous career-best of ninth obtained at New Jersey Motorsports Park last month.

“What a day,” said the jubilant driver. “I cannot thank everyone on the CGH Motorsports team enough for their efforts not only here at Michigan but all year long. A lot of people helped us get this car back together after Chicagoland and we came here and showed that our performance was no fluke. I’m anxious to get to Winchester next weekend as I feel we have a shot at our first career win.”

He added, “Rob (Torrey, crew chief), Kevin (Reed, director of competition) made great calls all week long and even during the race. This car was literally a dream to drive. We just didn’t have enough at the end to get to victory lane, but we will though soon.”

The team’s best finish of the year catapulted Hackenbracht unofficially from 11th to ninth in the championship standings just 20 points ahead of fellow friend and competitor Sean Corr.

Next up for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards is a return to Winchester (Ind.) Speedway for the running of the Winchester ARCA 200 presented by Federated Auto Parts. Hackenbracht will make his inaugural debut at the Indiana short track.

Exiting Michigan, Hackenbracht has 18 career ARCA starts to his credit. In those races, he has delivered one top-five at Michigan International Speedway, a fourth (June 2011) and three top-10 finishes at New Jersey Motorsports Park (May 2011) and Pocono (Pa.) Raceway (June 2011). The CGH Motorsports team has also delivered top-20 finishes in seven of the first eight races in 2011.

CGH Motorsports is actively seeking additional marketing partners for the full 2011 ARCA Racing Series schedule. Single, multi and full-season placements are available on the team’s No. 58 entries. Interested parties are urged to contact Jordan Dahl at 570.234.5449 or jordan@cghmotorsports.com.
