Shane Sieg will step back in the No. 51 Miccosukee Resort and Gaming Toyota Tundra Saturday, September 6, 2008 for the running of the Camping World 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the Gateway International Raceway.

Sieg will make his ninth start for Billy Ballew Motorsports with five starts in 2008 and three in 2007. Sieg posted a best finish of eighth in Memphis for the No. 51 Miccosukee Resort and Gaming Toyota Tundra.

Sieg takes over for NASCAR Superstar Kyle Busch who will be in Richmond for the NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series races. Busch brought home the teams first short-track win and third of 2008 in the last Craftsman Truck Series event at the Bristol Motor Speedway.

“It’s great that Kyle (Busch) was able to bring home that win for Billy Ballew,” Sieg said. “We tested in with Toyota last week in Richmond which gave me more seat time. The truck was fast and I have every intention of trying to pick up a top finish or even a win. I want to make sure I keep Billy (Ballew) up in the owner points so they have a chance to win the title this year.”

Billy Ballew sits in the fourth place position in the 2008 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Owners Championship race 167 points out of the lead. A deficit that can be made up with top finishes in the remaining eight races of the 25 race series season schedule.

Sieg has one previous start at the Gateway International Raceway in 2004 where he started 28th and finished 11th. Billy Ballew Motorsports has seven starts at the 1.25-mile track with a best finish of 12th in 2003 with Mike Skinner piloting the entry.

About Crew Chief Richie Wauters

Starting at the tracks around Green Bay, WI Richie Wauters quickly moved into the NASCAR Touring Series. Wauters crewed successful NASCAR Nationwide Series teams with Rusty Wallace and Johnny Sauter.

Wauters who has worked for Billy Ballew Motorsports for the majority of the past ten years led the team to its first victory in 2004 and has continued to lead as the team scored six more victories during the 2005-2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series seasons.

Wauters set up the first truck race that NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Driver Kyle Busch ran in the Craftsman Truck at the Lowes Motor Speedway where he won that event.

In his off time Wauters still focuses on racing with his Late Model team. The team won the Snow Ball Derby in 2004 and finished second in 2005. His NASCAR Southeast Series team has nine wins over two seasons. The team won the Southeastern Elite Division Championship and won the last race of the Elite Division at the Phoenix International Raceway at the end of 2006.

Wauters has worked with drivers such as; Rusty and Steven Wallace, Kyle Busch, John Andretti, Jeremy Mayfield, Paul Menard, Denny Hamlin and a host of other top NASCAR drivers.

Wauters goal is to lead the Billy Ballew Motorsports team to capture its first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship.

Eight different drivers were behind the wheel in 2005 when the team finishes a Career-best fifth in the final NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Owners’ Points.

Ballew looks to have a shot at the Championship this year with Kyle Busch and guest drivers piloting the No. 51 Toyota Tundra. Ballew also fields a second truck, the No. 15 Toyota Tundra.
