The Firehawk was a pontiac Firebird modified by general motors tier 1 up-fitter SLP engineering. Over the 11 years of production from 1992 through 2002, SLP introduced a series of performance, handling and appearance improvements to the Firebird Formula and Trans Am. These modifications were successfully introduced utilizing SLP’s in-house design and manufacturing expertise. To be a warranty backed tier 1 program each modification had to meet stringent general motors and federal government standards and regulations.
