All information available on CarsAndRacingStuff.com (and related social media accounts), including but not limited to articles, press releases, photographs, newsletters, audio, video, raw data, and other media are presented without warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, quality, correctness, validity, or suitability. What all this means is, information found in this library is much the same as books are on the shelves in a traditional library: we merely exist to find information we can legally republish and present it "as is." It is up to you, the user (or in this case the online library patron), to consider the sources of the material and make your own judgements as to the accuracy and usefulness of the content. Much of it is outdated and presented for historical context.
Content of any type in no way represents the opinions of The Crittenden Automotive Library. Articles and comments by Bill Crittenden are his own personal opinions and also do not represent the opinion of the Library itself. Officially, as an entity The Crittenden Automotive Library tries to remain as politically neutral as possible on all issues except for those regarding access to information: copyright as it pertains to the public domain, Net Neutrality, and transparency in government. President Donald Trump's appearance on the American Government banner is due to his position as President of the United States and is not an endorsement of his policies, this is tradition carried over from President Barack Obama's appearance on the banner (also not an endorsement of his policies) and will carry on to the 46th President as soon as a suitable public domain image of them becomes available post-inauguration.
We can not guarantee the accuracy of statistics and general information on the Topic Pages. This is because most of it is from other sources, and there may be errors in the original data as well as occasional errors in copying the data. It may also be outdated, as there are too many topics and too many things happening in the automotive world to keep up with on a regular basis. Should a mistake be found, please e-mail us so that we can correct it. Check with multiple primary sources before making any important decisions!
Due to the enormous volume of information available lists on the site are to be considered "works in progress." The absence of an item or event on a list should not be construed as something not existing, only that it may not exist but likely just hasn't been added to The Crittenden Automotive Library yet.

You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the circuit courts located in the 22nd District of Illinois or in the Federal Courts located in the Northern District of Illinois. If you have an issue with something we publish, you are encouraged to take up the matter with the source of the information, much in the way you wouldn't sue an in-person library for the contents of their books.

Privacy Policy
We track visitor information using Google Analytics. Google collects the IP address and information about the pages you access and the device you use to access them. They do not pass along IP addresses to us, and we do not sell or share the data we receive other than letting people know our monthly visitor & page view totals.
We use the Google Analytics data to determine overall how many visitors and page views CarsAndRacingStuff.com receives, which pages are generating views, which technology platforms are the most popular, and where visitors are coming from. Knowing these variables and observing changes in them helps us to track issues in our site design and update when necessary for new browsers. It also helps us see which pages & marketing efforts are more or less successful so we can direct our efforts to where it is likely to generate the best results.
Intellectual Property
The Crittenden Automotive Library claims copyright in original Topic and other item descriptions and issues of Tail Lights newsletter, as well as trademark on the "Green Wheel" logo. All other intellectual property remains the possession of its original creator. The Crittenden Automotive Library cannot grant permission to republish copyrighted information found used here with permission, please contact the original creator of the work to ask for permission.
The Crittenden Automotive Library is a collection of automotive information from numerous sources. Sources include direct contributors, public domain media, and work licensed through Creative Commons, GNU licenses, proprietary license, or other publicly redistributable information. If you own the rights to something that has been mistakenly copied onto CarsAndRacingStuff.com, please inform us right away at admin@carsandracingstuff.com so that it can be removed. I've had people misrepresent copyrighted information created by someone else as their own and submit it to me for publication under their own name, and I've seen copyrighted material licensed for Creative Commons use by internet users who had no rights to "license" the work. We've been good in weeding this out before it hits our servers but no one is perfect. If you find something of yours in the Library, please know that it wasn't intentional and I'll fix it right away without making you jump through the hoops of filling out a DMCA complaint or sending a registered snail-mail letter like other sites require.
